Horse Back Riding in Montauk.

Horse Back Riding in Montauk is a classic activity you can experience while in Long Island. Luckily, Deep Hollow Ranch, the country’s oldest working cattle ranch is located right here, at 8 Old Montauk Hwy. The horses here are nice, friendly and well taken care of. If you are worried about having little to no experience at horse back riding, no worries, those are calm and easy trails to enjoy.

The longest trail they offer is about an hour and a half and it takes you all the way to the beach. You can bring your kids for a ride as well. However, kids have to be at least 6 years old for the shortest ride of 1/2 hour. The longer rides of 1 and 1 1/2 hour age starts from 8 years old. We do not recommend bringing large cameras, or objects that can easily fall. Also, as the trail takes through the bushes, we highly recommend wearing pants and covered shoes.

There is a pony camp available for kids from 7 to 12 years of age. Please inquire directly.

If you are staying around Montauk or Hamptons this is certainly your place for the beginners horse back riding.
