Rockefeller Center’s this year skating season will be short. All because of a long-planned renovation of the plaza and the underground shopping concourse surrounding it. This season it will only run through the major winter holidays, but that’s about it. Closing on Jan. 17, several months early than normal.

However, The Rink at Rockefeller Center is now open and offering socially-distant ice skating. Skaters are invited to reserve tickets online for one of their 50-minute skating sessions.

The price varies depending on day and time and you will need to book it ahead.

* There are discounted options for early and late time slots.
