Firstly, let’s talk wine country. There are at least 60 vineyards! Bachelorette’s favorite winery and distillery hopping is an option. There are also Wine tours available.

Here you don’t have to worry about being a designated driver and everything is arranged for you. Most importantly, they can even pick you up for your North Fork Getaway from New York in any location in Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens, New York City, Westchester, New Jersey or Connecticut. Again, there are so many vineyards t choose from! We recommend looking into Borghese Vineyard and Macari Vineyards.

Secondly, the farms and farm stands of the North Fork are very much worth to visit. We recommend fruit and vegetable picking at the Lewin Farms. For the freshest fruit pies, look no further than Briermere Farms, it’s a must. For the family fun, lot’s of entertainment for little ones and the zoo with funny goats, The Fink’s Farm is your place to go.

Also, we highly recommend going horse back riding while here. Check out these family friendly trail rides in Montauk. Although a bit of a drive ( about an hour), but well worth.

The Beaches on the Sound are different from the Hampton’s beaches. It is a rockier, but the waters are much calmer, which makes it better for kids and those who generally prefer calmer waters. Most of the beaches are private, so you’d need to look for a public beach if you need parking without a permit.

Lastly, the restaurants. The farm to table experience by the remarkable Sicilian chef John Gambino at iL Giardino Restaurant is truly exceptional. The restaurant feels like home and every dish is just amazing. Another great place for farm-and-sea-to-table will be Noah’s at Greenport, First and South, and North Fork Table & Inn.
